Recent History

The year is 1208 AEC. (AEC comes from the Elven for "Year of the Silver One").

900 AEC: Drostan of the House of Voluspa was crowned King of Athral Isle. On the day of his coronation, the eladrin leave Athral Isle and seal the trods leading to the Feywild.

1118 AEC: The Bloodspear orcs devastated Fallcrest and much of Athral Isle. They further destroyed Saint Victor's Hall, the only school of magic on the Isle. As a result of these events, there is a significant rift between humans and elves. The study of wizardly magic went into decline; in the modern day, most arcane spellcasters are warlocks.

1198 AEC: Trayal and Eastern Trempa fought a costly war. The dukes of both domains died and their lines are believed to be extinct. The Emperor has thus far declined to create a new duke for either realm.

1199 AEC: Sigmar of the House of Voluspa was crowned King of Athral Isle.

1203 AEC: King Sigmar I invited dragonborn to settle on Athral Isle, provided they serve at least eight years in the military.

1207 AEC: Asmodeus ascended to godhood.
