Paladin

The oaths of the paladins, for Aurikesh:

The Chevalier's Oaths

I pledge my service to (the Gods/the Host of Heaven/TBD).

I shall remain faithful to ye unto my dying day.

I shall show courage in the face of all dangers.

I shall ever seek a perfect righteousness, though it may not be attained in life.

I shall not falter in working toward the welfare and peace of the world.

I shall not speak falsehoods to (the Gods/the Host of Heaven/TBD) or betray one to whom I have pledged my fealty, so long as my lord remain true.

I shall exercise generosity and mercy to the weak and the innocent, shielding them from those who would do them harm.

If I violate these oaths, I shall seek absolution from my sins and strive once more toward righteousness.

The Warden's Oaths

I pledge my service to (the Gods/the Powers of the Hidden World/TBD).

I shall remain faithful to ye unto my dying day.

I shall show courage in the face of all dangers.

I shall not falter in working toward the repair of the world. (This is understood to encompass a vast range of good deeds. It has nothing whatsoever to do with eco-terrorism)

I shall not speak falsehoods to (the Gods/the Powers of the Hidden World/TBD) or betray one to whom I have pledged my loyalty.

I shall protect the weak and the innocent from those who would do them harm.

If I violate these oaths, I shall seek absolution from my sins and return to the path of guardianship over Aurikesh.

The Shadowguard's Oaths

I pledge my service to (the Gods/the Princes of Hell/TBD).

I shall remain faithful to ye unto my dying day.

I shall show courage in the face of all dangers.

I shall not falter in working toward revealing corruption, deceitfulness, and every kind of sin in the world.

I shall bring the wicked to justice, regardless of the cost.

I shall not speak falsehoods to (the Gods/the Princes of Hell/TBD) or betray one to whom I have pledged my loyalty, so long as my lord shall remain true and guiltless.

I shall protect the truly innocent from those who would do them harm.

If I violate these oaths, I shall be scourged by the same lash as I have wielded against the false.
